A Search of Kinds is the first in a new series of three western romance books by first-time, self-published British author, Holly Thomson.
The story combines holiday romance with western romance in a story of escapism and cowboy life and love as Ellie Hunt travels on a whim to the wilds of Montana to stay on a ranch with her digital-friend, there she meets a surly, mysterious and initially unfriendly, aloof cowboy, Jackson Childs who has also escaped his own life (for reasons unbeknown to the reader at the start). Whilst the two are searching for their own respective peace, travelling to the ranch for different reasons, months apart, they come together as a blossoming romance ensues, though Ellie's trip is only for one month. Then, she must return home, to get her life together and move into the next chapter of her life, conscious she can't afford to waste any more time.
Throughout her holiday, Ellie discovers more and more about Jackson and the ghosts that hunt him down, wherever he seems to escape to.
Will a once in a lifetime job offer tempt Ellie or will she settle back into the monotony of life back in England?
